When will my account be activated?

Academic Semester Hours for Students/Faculty/Staff are as follows:

Sunday: Closed
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 05:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday: Closed

Where do I start my research?

You have a couple of options for accessing library resources for your research:

  1. Start by searching UNI-Search! through the search box on our homepage. This tool searches almost all of the library resources, including books, articles, and videos.
  2. Credo Reference is a great database to start with because it gives you background information on your topic.
  3. If you know what database you need to use, start by going to the Databases A-Z page.
  4. Our Research Process guide will help you through every step of your research process.
  5. And finally, remember we are here to help, just ask us!

Does it cost anything to use interlibrary loan services?

Students/Faculty/Staff: There is no cost to you.

Community: For items requested via Minerva/MaineCat there is no associated cost. For items that have to be requested outside the Minerva/MaineCat system, there is a fee of $5.00, payable upon receipt of the item, to help with postage and handling costs, as well as processing the request.

How does the Microsoft Office license work?

Your tuition covers the cost of a Microsoft Office Subscription. Your licence is automatically activated for you. You only have to download and install it! Office is available for both Windows and Mac.

Yes. Both of these come standard on college-owned computers, including library laptops.

Online students should contact their Concierge to get a license for courses requiring ArcGIS.

What is a one-time activation code?

Can I connect my XBox to the network? Roku? "Home" devices?

Yes, mostly. We allow gaming consoles and other media devices to connect to the college network. If you experience a problem using a particular device on the network, please contact us and we’ll try to help. Please note some devices will be unable to connect to our network.
